Story rec

I know a lot of the SV folks on my flist have seen Sorority Boys because MR is in it, and I remember a couple years back there were a fair number of stories featuring Adina floating around, but I haven't seen many lately.

So I was elated to find "Adina Afterwards," by myownghost. I think this is the first piece of fanfiction she ever wrote, and it's a really sweet exploration of Adam coming to terms with being Adina, and what that means for him, as he falls in love with a man for the first time. It's a great character exploration of Adina, and also really damn hot. Part I is here and part II is here. Go forth, read, and comment! For the new writer should always be encouraged, especially when she is talented and a big SV fan who might be persuaded to write SV!!

thanks so much for this rec! i hadn't meant ever to introduce this story, written a year ago, to Prime Time, but i'll be very happy if it gives anyone a bit of pleasure. :)

(that's eric in the userpic. *g*)

It's a great story, and I'm happy to recommend it. And you should completely write more fanfic, whether Adinafic or SV.

maybe i will. i'd have to write AU for SV, since i'm not at all up to speed with more recent seasons than S3. ;)

Well, since there are a lot of people still reading SV who are in denial about the existence of anything in S4 and S5, I don't think that would really be a problem!

Oh. p.s. thanks for the Eric visual. Though I have to confess that since he is a farmboy, I was, um, picturing him as Clark through most of the story.

ha, yeah. i can't remember now whether i was consciously making him clark-like, or it was just happening that way. i'm from midwestern farm-country myself, so maybe it was simply natural to me to have him earnest and a little awkward. however, he was definitely not tom welling in my mind, but steve sandvoss: ooh mama.

He's hot, definitely. Nice arms.
