600th post!

I was trying to think of something interesting to post for my 600th post, and stumbled across this hilarious Nip/Tuck promo with Misha Collins. Probably NSFW. (Now we get to see if Nora can successfully embed video for the first time ever):

There are a couple rec sets I want to do while I am on vacation, though that sort of depends on how often I get kidnapped by relatives and forced to be social. Today is my dad's 64th birthday (we are planning on playing "When I'm 64" before we bring out the cake) so it probably won't be tonight. Maybe actually Christmas day, since it looks like we won't be exchanging gifts until Sunday since my brother and sister-in-law both have to work Christmas and my sister isn't getting into town until late Saturday night.

In other news, I had an extremely fun dream.

It was one of those serial dreams where the scene keeps changing but they feel connected. They were kind of connected, though. I was a time traveller, and had to prevent a magical object from being stolen by people from the future or else all of civilization would collapse. At first I was watching the action (the time-traveller) from the outside, when she landed somewhere in the wrong clothes and was taken under the wing of another time-traveller and given period-appropriate clothes, and then suddenly I was the time-traveller, racing around trying to find the McGuffin and having it stolen by various other time-travelling thieves. (I suspect this dream was inspired by Leverage). Just after we realized the McGuffin was lost forever and the future could not be saved, someone from the even further-distant future arrived and said it was a good thing because actually the McGuffin was the thing that destroyed civilization.

And then I found it again. It was a football. (I blame this on the Bear's game last night). And somehow I saved the future, and thought I was being sent back to my own time, only to get transported to another time period, with another McGuffin to save. Yes, it's true: I dreamed I was in a sci-fi TV pilot, setting up a serialized show! I am very amused. I had a love interest, an archenemy, and everything. I was Hiro crossed with Sarah Connor, or something like that, and my love interest was one of those tricksy characters who you can't quite tell is good or evil--he was supposedly my mentor among time-travelling heroes, but he might have been working for the opposition. My nemeses were two women who I think were a couple, and who kept trying to persuade me to trust them rather than the love interest. I kind of like my subconscious today!

OMG. Castiel has a penis problem. o_O

Bwah. That is one amusing dream sequence! :D

And congratulations on the 600th post! Quite an achievement!

Thanks!

And yeah, Castiel's penis problem. Well, at least it isn't the Ken Doll problem that Kevin Smith suggested angels had! It makes perfect sense to me that Castiel's cock would be too big. Someone ought to write a Dean/Castiel story with that as the premise.

Misha and his penis problem: ahahahaha!

Today is my mom's 60th birthday.

(Edited to fix my spelling. I always forget that it's Misha Collins and Mischa Barton.)

Oh, that's funny because I say Mischa Barton half the time too when I mean Misha Collins. I think perhaps because Misha is such an uncommon name?

And what an interesting birthday coincidence. Birthday greetings to your mom!

I think so. Also, I've known who Mischa Barton is for a long time, so my automatic spelling of the name goes for the c.

And to your dad!

Hahahahaha! MC pulls that off perfectly. Hahaha!

I am totally amazed at how vivid and recallable other people's dreams are. I must never have awesome dreams like yours, otherwise I'd remember them, right?

Well, I wake up a lot in the night due to some of my health issues, so I am more likely to remember dreams. When I sleep straight through the night I rarely remember them. So maybe that's a good thing?

That clip is a riot! Great find. I watch Nip/Tuck, but apparently that's one of the ones I missed.

Looking forward to your rec lists.

I think (but am not positive) that it is an upcoming episode of Nip/Tuck rather than from an earlier season. (I snagged it off friendsfriends, though, I don't remember where, so I could be wrong.)

Your subconscious kicks it all over mine! My sci-fi saga dreams involve me dooming the world to slavery by machines and a mutant virus that causes aggression and resulting mass genocide. I was a pilot and when mechanised aliens arrived on Earth I had to make a split-second decision about whether to shoot one of them or a strange blinking thing in the sky. I shot the blinking thing. It proved to be a bomb that released toxins over the whole planet and allowed the aliens to take hold.

Thanks brain. My guilt complex is out of control, clearly. ;)

Yikes. That sounds like too much BSG, maybe?
